We plan, publicise, and run all of our events, so we would love your help and support!
Be sure to sign up to our Facebook page where we post details of upcoming events!
Our relationship with God and our evangelism isn’t complete without prayer. We meet at Buccleuch Church at 7:45am every Wednesday to sing a few songs, have a short devotional, and then a time of prayer. Free breakfast supplied and all finished in time for those who need to get to 9am lectures.
Our main meeting happens every Monday at the Chaplaincy, Potterow. Hot drinks and mingling from 19:00 until 19:30 when we start with some singing and then a talk to ‘equip’ us to evangelise (get it?). We’d love to see you there but if you can’t make it, we’d still love your help at events! (You’ll want to be on the FB page to stay up-to-date though.)
Most people don’t know that they are loved by God, and what better way to show it than by handing out free hot drinks on a Saturday night? Join us in Baccleuch at 22:00 for a quick devo and time of prayer before heading out. You’ll often have the chance to share the gospel with someone who has never heard it before! Usually running every other week, you’ll want to be on the fb page to know when it’s on (click the title).
Let’s Talk About…
Two or three times per semester we have a talk on a big topic that you can invite your friends to. There are loads of jobs to do to get these going so we’d love your help flyering, setting up, preparing food, or just being there! We run one at King’s Buildings and one at Central Campus so there should be one going on near your studies. If you study at King’s Buildings there is (another) FB group to join.
Here in Edinburgh, we want to make every international student feel welcome! Through weekly sharing, chats over tea and an optional bible study, we build relationships with our international friends, and to offer them the best gift we can – the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Every October the CU goes to Lendrick Muir for a weekend of teaching, and an opportunity to get to know the other members of the CU better. Christian can write the rest of this I can’t be bothered
